About the film
The couple asked for one thing: no staging. So the day was covered the way a documentary is covered — two cameras, long lenses, and a plan built around where the light would be rather than where a formal photograph might go.
The edit follows the sun. It opens cold and blue in the hours before anyone is dressed, warms through the ceremony, and ends on the long gold light that gave the film its name. Speeches were recorded on lavaliers and mixed under a score licensed for the couple, so the audio carries the film even when the picture is quiet.

Outcome
Delivered fifteen days after the wedding, with a teaser cut for the couple's families within the week.
Frames from the shoot
We barely noticed anyone was filming, which is the highest compliment I can pay. Then the film arrived and half of it was moments we did not know had happened.
