About the film
Northbank had a story that kept getting flattened into product photography. The brief was to put the people back in: the roaster reading a colour change by eye, the shift that starts at four in the morning, the sample cupping that decides what a season tastes like.
Shot over two days on a single prime set, with practical light from the roaster's own windows and drum. The narration was cut from an unscripted interview rather than written, which kept the voice recognisably theirs.

Frames from the shoot

The interview questions were better than the ones our agency wrote. What came back sounds like us on a good day rather than a brand deck read aloud.
